Kenya

For many the home of the safari and with over fifty reserves it is easy to see why. Kenya is in the heart of the Rift Valley and its capital is the main international hub to East Africa. Its reserves and parks seduce visitors year after year with its two best being Nakuru and the fabled Masai Mara. Nakuru has over a million flamingoes, the biggest population of rhino in East Africa and a good head of leopard as well as plenty of plains game. The Mara is the most prolific game reserve in the world, period. At any time of year the plains are well populated and in the summer when the migration arrives the open grasslands are darkened by endless lines of wildebeest, zebra and gazelle, pursued assiduously by the relentless predators. Everyone, at least once in his or her lives should see the migration, a unique phenomenon that is the envy of every other African country.

Scintillating South Africa

South Africa, republic in southern Africa, bordered on the north by Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Swaziland; on the east and south by the Indian Ocean; and on the west by the Atlantic Ocean. Lesotho forms an enclave in the eastern part of the country. Pretoria is the country's administrative capital, and Cape Town is its largest city.

For decades, South Africa was a pariah nation, isolated from the world by its choice of government. Today, South Africa has officially cast off the system of apartheid and is now rapidly emerging as the first country of Africa. The most European country in Africa now markets itself as a unique blend of different cultures. This is where you will find wide beaches, stunning mountain vistas, wine estates, the 'big five' on safaris, the sinful splendour of Sun City and three UNESCO World Heritage sites.
